About Me
I am a Counseling Psychologist, Lecturer, and Senior Probation Officer with a strong professional background in mental health interventions, psychosocial support, rehabilitation, and academic facilitation. My work spans government institutions, university teaching, and therapeutic practice — enabling me to support individuals and communities through evidence-based mental health strategies and holistic psychosocial care.
In my role as a Senior Probation Officer (2017–Present), I conduct social inquiry assessments, provide counseling and rehabilitation services, support reintegration processes, write pre-sentence and advisory reports, and facilitate behavior change interventions. This work has strengthened my skills in case management, restorative justice, crisis management, and community-based rehabilitation.
I also serve as an Associate Lecturer at Mount Kenya University, where I teach counseling-related coursework, facilitate learner engagement, mentor students, supervise assessments, and support academic growth. Teaching allows me to merge theory with real-world experience — preparing learners for professional practice in mental health, social development, and community support systems.
Alongside my institutional and academic work, I offer therapy services through Mindful Healing Therapy, where I provide counseling, psychosocial support, drug and substance use intervention, and mental health guidance.
I am passionate about mental wellness, youth mentorship, ethical leadership, restorative practices, and building resilient learning and rehabilitation systems that promote emotional wellbeing, personal empowerment, and academic success.
